Silex The Veilwalker

A cute little creature, just looking for his next snack.

Topology

Care was taken to maintain a clean topology to ensure reliable deformation during rigging.

The initial blockout was created in Blender and exported to ZBrush for detailed sculpting. After refinement, the model was remeshed in ZBrush and brought back into Blender for UV unwrapping.
Rigging

The rig was designed with a focus on stable control and smooth motion.

This was achieved through the use of IK chains and a balanced weight distribution.
Texturing
The material setup was kept intentionally simple to achieve a convincing, realistic look while maintaining clarity in the overall presentation.

This allowed the focus to remain on the sculpting workflow in ZBrush rather than on complex texture work.
Sculpting

The sculpting was done entirely in ZBrush, focusing on strong primary forms and clean detail definition.

During production, the sculpt had to be reconstructed from an exported high-poly FBX due to a file issue, which required additional refinement. This process helped deepen my understanding of high-resolution sculpt workflows.
UV

The UV layout is generally well balanced to capture fine surface detail.

There is room for further optimization in shell placement, which I plan to refine in future projects.
