Constraint-based character rigging study

This project focuses on building a clean, production-ready constraint-based character rig with stable motion, clear structure and animator-friendly controls.
Mechanical Structure

Since the character consists of rigid mechanical components, no weight painting was used.
Each part is directly constrained to its corresponding control, ensuring clean motion and precise alignment during animation.
UV Layout

UVs were laid out with consistent texel density and minimal distortion to support clean texture application across rigid parts.
Controls & Constraints

The rig uses a combination of IK chains and constraint-driven relationships to allow intuitive posing while maintaining strict mechanical behavior.
Rig Validation

The rig was tested through a range of poses and motion studies to verify constraint stability, control usability and overall rig robustness.
