Facebridge

A workflow prototype for bringing facial tracking data into Blender and turning it into more usable character animation.

Project Overview

Project Type
Workflow Tool Prototype
Focus
Facial Tracking, ARKit Blendshapes, Blender Pipeline
Software
Blender, VS Code, Live Link Face, AI assisted development

Concept
Facebridge was created to test a cleaner connection between facial tracking data and character animation in Blender. The goal was to use raw tracking values as a starting point and make them easier to map, adjust and refine inside a character workflow.
Workflow Focus
The tool explores how ARKit based facial data can be connected to Blender shape keys. Instead of treating the tracking output as final animation, the focus is on control, cleanup and practical use in production.

Highlights
Custom Blender workflow prototype for facial animation.
Connects facial tracking data with shape key based character rigs.
Uses AI assisted development to speed up tool creation and technical testing.

Current State
Facebridge is a work in progress prototype focused on pipeline testing, data mapping and workflow improvement.
Face Bridge is available as a free tool on Github
